Colonialism perspectives such as the oriental gaze, the absence of discourse rights and the imaginative geological division between the east and the west in the representation system purposefully set limits between the colonialists and the aboriginals to realize their mutual separation. The power and the races, the mainstream and the marginal, the dominating and the dominated in post-colonialism representation find their modern footnote in The Grass Is Singing. The white colonialists impose their personal ideas and additional imaginations on the the South Rhodesian aboriginals, rendering them the othered races in the periphery and exiles on their own land.
