摘要
DC、MARC、MPEG-7等描述性元数据对图像资料的描述过于精简、无法解决图像的特征抽取和匹配等问题。FRBR对图像资料的一般属性和特殊属性作了定义与描述。在FRBR的启示下,将背景、源载体、特征、技术四个扩展元素增加为图像资料的元数据,能规范图像资料元数据结构,从而提高网络环境中图像资料的确认与检索的准确性与全面性。
Descriptive metadata such as DC,MARC,MPEG-7,etc cannot solve the problem of extractingand matching image materials' features. FRBR defines and describes image materials' general attributesand special attributes. Based on FRBR, it is thought that background, source media, feature andtechnology can be added as image materials' cataloging sums, which can standardize image materials' metadata structure and improve the accuracy and comprehensiveness of their recognition and retrieval innetwork environment.
