National top Chinese physician professor Zhang Xuewen thought that development of rectal cancer was due to mixed pathological factors of weakened body resistance, dysfunction of Zang-Fu, qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm damp, toxic food, etc. Deficiency and excess complex as its pathogenesis always occurred. Clinical treatment emphasized on dispelling pathogen through the whole course, reinforcing healthy qi in gradual way, and flexibly applying blood-activating herb and insects medicines.
