Elderly migrants have come to form one of the fastest-growing groups in China in recent years. As their children have left their hometowns tofind work and settle down in larger urban areas, or even in other countries, these elderly Chinese have opted to follow, to support, live with and take care of their children, and to help raise their grandchildren. While they have enjoyed living With their children and grandchildren, they have been forced to adapt to new lives in the strange cities.
有这么一群老人，他们本该在熟悉的故土安度晚年，却漂泊异乡；他们本该沉浸于儿孙绕膝之乐，却要体验异乡生活的酸甜苦辣。为陪伴移居他乡的子女，帮助照顾孙儿孙女或是帮子女创业，这些老人形成了一个特殊的群体——“老年漂”（也称“老漂族”）；他们一面享受着天伦之乐，一面却也承受着外人难以想象的孤独和烦恼。
