Home Is Whese the Heart Is -American Student Finds Love, Lays Down Roots in Northeast China

摘要 During the final competition of Chinese Bridge 2014 (organized by Chinese National Hanban, Chinese Bridge was a contest so foreign college students could demonstrate their mastery of the Chinese language and understanding of Chinese culture), which was held in September 2014, American contestant Katherine Aekerman impressed the judges and the audience with her kuaibanr performance (a rhythmic monologue while playing bamboo clappers), entitled "My Home in Northeast China." Ackerman, who preferred to be called Katie, finished third. Earlier this year, Katie married her Chinese boyfriend, Fei Xiaomin, 2014年“汉语桥”全球外国人汉语大会总决赛中,黄小猫的快板表演《家在东北》惊艳全场。通过讲述她与中国的情缘,分享学习汉语及中国传统文化的收获,这位出生在美国却扎根在东北的金发大姐,深深感染了在场嘉宾和评委。最终获得季军的黄小猫,在今年年初收获了更多的爱与幸福——她与中国男友费孝民步入婚姻殿堂,在中国有了属于自己的家。
