摘要
The winter fishing season on Chagan Lake, in Northeast China's Jilin Province, begins at the end of December each year. The season lasts for a few weeks, and is always over by the end of February. During winter fishing season, ethnic Mongolian men wear their traditional clothes - dogskin hat and sheepskin coat - when they fish through the ice on Chagan Lake. They always fish early in the morning, before the sun rises. The fishers, who live alongside Chagan Lake, have long been referred to as "the last tribe in northeastern China to make a living by fishing."
