This paper mainly studies the application of traditional and modem wood structure characteristics and style; comparison of advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of wood structure in the use of materials and solutions in the application; based on absorbing the traditional woodconstruction and the construction of modem wood structure of outstanding achievements, for the future of wooden structure building development provides the important reference suggestions.
