《汉书新证》中陈直运用"二重证据法"对《汉书》进行校勘,较前人取得了突破性的成果,是《汉书》校勘史上的一次大胆而卓有成效的尝试。文章从四个方面探讨了《汉书新证》对文献校勘的重大贡献,以期总结其成就。

Chen Zhi, the author of New Evidence of The History of the Han Dynasty , employed double evidence method to collate The History of the Han Dynasty, which was a bold but fruit-ful attempt in the history the collation of the historical book. Compared with previous scholars, he made greater academic achievements. The author of this paper discusses four major contribu- tions of New Evidence of The History of the Han Dynasty to the development of textual criticism.
