On the Three Stages of Gilded Textile in Ancient China

试将我国古代织物用金之表现技艺的发展,整体分为三个大的阶段。第一阶段是隋唐之前的装饰点缀阶段,第二阶段是隋唐至宋的表现转折阶段,第三阶段是元明清初期的繁荣发展阶段。在我国古代织物用金之表现技艺的发展过程中,中西纺织技术的交流,发挥了至关重要的推动作用。对西域织金技艺的消化吸收,则是改变我国古代织物用金之表现技艺的重要一环。

This paper studies the three major stages along China＇s ancient fabric development. The first stage is the stage of the Sui and Tang before decorative embellishment; the second stage is the performance of the transition phase from Sui and Tang to Song Dynasty; the third stage is the prosperity of Yuan, Ming and early Qing. Communication with Western textile technology has played a significant role m promoting gilded textile in ancient China. Ancient gold weaving techniques of Xiyn is an important part of the art change in China.
