Integration of General Education Ideas into ESP Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges——Taking Automobile English for an Example

通识教育与专业教育是有机结合、相互包含的关系。以"汽车英语"课程为例,从教学目标、教学内容、教学过程和评价标准等四个方面渗透通识教育理念,使学生掌握专业技能的同时更具备良好的道德情操和职业操守。

The integration of general education ideas into ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges is of great importance. Based on the elaboration of the connotation of general education and its relationship with professional education, this paper, taking AutomobileEnglish for instance, discusses this integration from four aspects, namely teaching goal, teaching content, teaching process and evaluation standard , hoping to inject a new element into ESP teaching.
