摘要
《金瓶梅词话》的素材来源,是一种较为复杂的多源现象。除了从《水浒传》借用人物和情节框架之外,小说中还存在改编自他书或有所依傍的情况。第五十七回属于后一种,此回开头有关"万回老祖"的叙述,并非《金瓶梅》作者的凭空虚构,而是源自深厚的民间信仰。"万回老祖"本来是偏离小说主题的"节外生枝",小说家却十分巧妙地将其同永福寺相关联,并由此建立起以"佛道"为核心的叙事框架。
As previous studies have revealed,The Golden Lotus,a Chinese literary classic,has complicated source materials. Besides borrowing characters and the framework from the novel Outlaws of the Marsh,The Golden Lotus also uses some materials from other books or sources,and Chapter 57 is a case in point. This chapter begins with the story of the eminent Buddhist Wanhui,who is closely related to a folk belief. Though this character seems unconnected with the theme,the author of The Golden Lotus cleverly connects him with Yongfu Temple with which a narrative framework based on both Taoism and Buddhism is constructed.
