在世界已成为地球村的今天,各国在经济、政治、文化等方面的交流日益广泛与深入,急需懂英语的相关专业人才,开设ESP课程是解决这一问题的有效方法。在介绍我国大学英语教学全面转型的理论依据及实践基础的同时,指出转型将面临的困难及对策。

Under the tide of globalization , with the in-depth communication in every aspect between people of different coun -tries, our country is in urgent need of professionals who know both their professions and English very well .To solve this problem ESP is the best choice .This paper introduces the theoretical and practical basis to carry out EPS reform in our country and points out the potential problems and strategies to solve them .
