Starting from the analysis of underground pipeline management status at home and broad and combined with the underground pipeline detection project in a city, this article fully discusses the principle, method and technology of underground pipeline detection. Electromagnetic wave method and geologic radar detection method are emphasized. Based on the gas pipeline and water supply network detection, the methods, technology, requirement and content of pipeline detection method are discussed.
