索绪尔的语言符号论之语言本质观,其内涵的核心主要由语言是一种音义结合的符号、语言是一个特殊的符号系统等这样几部分内容构成。这种语言本质观主要是从语言的自然属性出发来认识语言的,在具有重大的理论意义与开拓意义的同时,由于时代的局限,不可避免地存在着自身的一些弱点与不足。这些弱点与不足,归根结底,与索绪尔在对语言进行理性思索时的哲学思维方式有着深刻的内在联系。索绪尔对语言本质认识的思维方式,很大程度上还停留在传统本体论哲学追求抽象同一的本质与抽象同一的原则、将决定一事物为该事物的本质理解为是单一性的这种思维方式上。今日索绪尔语言符号论思想研究的进步与相关语言学理论的发展与进步,须要在汲取索绪尔相关学说精髓的同时,跳出这种传统思维方式的窠臼与羁绊,代之以适应时代发展与语言学理论发展需要的新的思维方式。

Saussure＇s language essence of language symbolism, the cores of its connotation are mainly composed of several parts, such as language is a kind of symbol of combination of sound and meaning, language is a special symbol system and so on. The essence of language has important theoretical meaning and pioneering significance, but due to the limitations of the times, inevitably there are some weaknesses and shortcomings. These weaknesses and shortcomings, have a profound inner links with Saussure＇s philosophical thinking ways. Saussure＇s thinking ways on understanding of the essence of language to a large extent still remain in thinking ways of traditional ontological philosophy, namely, pursuing the abstract and identical essence and principle, the essence of things is interpreted as oneness. Today re-search on Saussure＇s language symbolism and the development and advancement of the relevant lin-guistics theory, not only need learn Saussure＇s essence of related theory, but also need out of the fetter of traditional thinking way to adopt new way of thinking to adapt to the developing need of times and linguistic theory.
