This meeting is designed for transplant professionals who physicians, surgeons, and are interested in the clinical and research aspects for pediatric solid organ, tissue, and bone marrow/stem cell transplantation. A variety of formats are planned that will encourage the exchange of new scientific and clinical information and support interchange of opinions, regarding care and management issues, as well as socioeconomic, ethical, and regulatory issues relevant to organ and tissue transplantation in children. This congress will highlight the most recent advances in clinical and basic science related to pediatric transplantation; provide a forum for exchange of new scientific and clinical information relevant to pediatric solid organ and tissue transplantation; create an arena for the interchange of ideas regarding care and manage- ment of pediatric organ and tissue transplant recipients; and facilitate discussions on the socioeconomic, ethical, and regulatory issues related to pediatric solid organ and tissue transplantation.
