以"创业创新创优、争先领先率先"为核心内涵的"新江苏精神"不仅反映了江苏率先基本实现社会主义现代化战略的实践性,体现了东部沿海地域率先发展、科学发展、跨越发展之路;而且呈现了社会主义核心价值观的时代精神,是社会主义核心价值观的价值追求、目标追求的具体展现;发挥社会主义核心价值观的引领作用,用观念输入、制度建设、社会系统等构筑"新江苏精神"实践新格局,推动广大干部群众自觉把"新江苏精神"延伸转化为践行社会主义核心观的过程。

The “new Jiangsu spirit”,with “Entrepreneurship,Innovation,Excellence;Competitiveness,Preced-ence and Initiative”as its core connotation,reflects the practicality of Jiangsu′s leading position in the initial reali-zation of socialism modernization and the initiative,scientific and leaping development of the coastal regions in East China.It also expresses the spirits of socialist core value system in the new era and embodies its values and goals. It′s of great significance to bring into full play the leading role of the socialist core value system,and to build up a new practical pattern of“new Jiangsu spirit”ideologically,institutionally and socially,so as to encourage the ca-dres and the masses to consciously spread the spirits in the fulfillment of the value system.
