Text Rhythm and Value Reconstruction of the Translation

长久以来,人们把文本节奏和语言节奏等同起来,并且把后者作为一个重要的参数对文本进行分析,这是对文本节奏的一种误读。文本节奏和传统意义上被等同于格律的语言节奏不同,它包括通过听觉和视觉直接把握的外部节奏以及通过思维间接把握的内部节奏。文本节奏统摄着文本的形式与神韵,是文本价值的体现。翻译时只有对文本的价值呈现方式有了充分的认识,才能在译文中实现价值重构。

It has been long since text rhythm was identified with language rhythm and taken as an essential parameter in analyzing texts. It is a misunderstanding of text rhythm. Actually, the former is quite different from the latter taken as metre traditionally. Text rhythm can be classified into exter- nal rhythm which can be directly perceived by hearing and sight, and internal rhythm which can be indirectly grasped by thought, it governs the form and meaning of texts, and, what＇s more, embodies text value. Such being the case, efforts should be made to understand the ways in which text value is shown during translation. Only by doing so can translators achieve value reconstruction in the target language.
