The total production capacity of polybutadiene rubber in the world reached 4 703 kt/a, with total consumption about 3 150 kt/a in 2013. It is forecasted that total production capacity will reach about 5 800 kt/a and the consumption will reach about 3 800 kt/a in 2018. In recent years, China＇s polybutadiene rubber develop rapidly, many new plants have been built and put into operation. Up to June, 2014, the tota production capacity of polybutadiene rubber in China have reached 1 725 kt/a, with total consumption about 1 010 kt/a in 2013. It is forecasted that total production capacity will reach about 2 150 kt/a and the consumption will reach about 1 150~1 200 kt/a in 2018. The market competition will be more intense.
