On the basis of the specialized investigation on the financing guarantee industry of five northwestern provinces and regions, the paper expounds three forms of financing guarantee industry and financing cost. The paper comparatively analyzes the operating condition of state-owned and private guarantee companies, introduces the main measures of the government' s support for financing guarantee companies, sums up experience and lessons through analyzing the financing guarantee cases, analyzes the existing difficulties and risks of financing guarantee industry, and puts forward policy suggestions on promoting the healthy development of the financing guarantee industry in the northwestern regions.
