Analysis of Zeng Guofan＇s Directing Troops in Confucius Thoughts

曾国藩以文人身份、儒学思想训练了一支强悍的军队，并形成了自己独特的治军思想，主要包括：“忠义血性”的将领选拔原则，以儒家“仁礼”为治军的基本精神以及“攻敌不如攻心”、以“诚”治军等。他的治军思想打破了清王朝在军事制度上的僵死局面，对近代中国军事思想的进步发展产生了积极的推动作用，其中某些思想在当前仍具有积极的现实意义。

Zeng Guofan,as a scholar,with confucius thoughts,has made a strong army and formed his unique commanding thought which includes：the principle of ＂loyalty and patriot- ism courage and uprightness＇in selecting military officers; the basic spirit of benevolence and courtesy in commanding troops;and others such as ＂a psychological attack is always the best policy＂and ＂to be open and honest to soldiers＂, etc. His thought has broken the deadlock of military system in Qing Dynasty,played a positive role in promoting the progress of modern military thoughts and is very significant in modern times.
