This article analyzes visualization in Hierarchical Visual Communication Theory, differentiates connotation between visualization and representation, points out hierarchical visualization classification and introduces a Periodic Table of Visualization methods. It is helpful for researchers to determine the user demand and select the optimal visualization method from the complex method of visualization in the design of visualization and visualization scheme.
