It is significant to study Lin Yutang＇s versions in English for their unique beauty of editorial style in translation. Such a style is typically shown in Lin＇s The Chinese Cinderella, which could be explained by Chesterman＇s translation values like, clarity, truth, understanding and trust etc.. Lin＇s editorial translation liberally recreates the theme of the original in a way of ＂the pursuit of beauty＂. Therefore, Yexian is incarnated to The Chinese Cinderella like a fairy tale in the world of English language.
