赋权与消权:社区口译中的权力关系与权力角色研究

Empowerment and Disempowerment: Research on Power Relation and Power Role in Community Interpreting

针对当前社区口译权力研究对权力关系及权力角色关注的不足,结合Bourdieu的社会实践理论和Foucault的权力观,辅以真实口译语料分析权力的双向互动关系,以更全面地描写社区口译中的权力角色。研究发现:社区口译中的权力是一个受到机构、身份、地位、个人素质等众多因素影响的网络。权力依靠赋权和消权的方式,主要在讲话人和译员之间双向流动;双方讲话人和译员作为权力角色,互为权力的主体和受体,译员可发挥积极和消极作用,但其有限的权力受到来自机构、交际双方权力及译员自身惯习的制约。

Since the present study of power in community interpreting pays insufficient attention to power relations and power roles,this article tried to analyze the mutual interaction of power,with Bourdieu＇s social theory and Foucault＇s concept of power as the theoretical foundation and real- life interpreting cases as its corpus,in a bid to describe the power roles in community interpreting in a more comprehensive way. It is found that： power in community interpreting is a network influenced by institution,identity,status,personal qualities,etc. Power is mutually fluid between speakers and the interpreter,either in the manner of empowerment or of disempowerment. Speakers and the interpreter,as power roles,are both the subject and the object. The interpreter can exercise both positive and negative influences,but his / her power is constrained by institution,power of speakers,and his / her own hatibus.
