Gender Mainstreaming and National Governance Modernization

社会性别主流化于1995年第四次世界妇女大会被联合国确定为促进社会性别平等的全球战略,要求各国将社会性别观点纳入社会发展各领域的主流。本文在对社会性别主流化与国家治理现代化理论探讨的基础上,对新形势下中国协调推进社会性别主流化战略,促进社会性别平等与国家治理现代化进行了战略思考。

Gender mainstreaming was clearly established as a global strategy for promoting gender equality in the Platform for Action adopted at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women. It highlighted the necessity to ensure that gender equality is a primary goal in all areas of social and economic development. This paper illus- trates the basic principles of gender mainstreaming and national governance modernization, discusses feasibility and policy suggestion based on the current situation of gender mainstreaming strategy in the process of strengthening and improvingt of the national mechanism for promoting gender equality in China.
