摘要
对隐喻及转喻理论应用于医学英语词汇的教学方法和传统医学英语词汇教学方法对医学生扩展医学英语词汇的作用进行了比较。结果发现:对于理据性很强的医学英语词汇,隐喻及转喻理论比传统词汇教学方法更能提高学生医学英语词汇的扩展能力。
The study made a contrast between the traditional vocabulary teaching method and the application of the metaphor and metonymy theories to the medical vocabulary teaching. It concluded that the latter is more effective, especially to those medical words with strong etymological motivation.
