摘要
从事科技英语翻译,译者不可避免地要遇到词义选择的问题,选择正确词义是保证科技译文质量的关键。本文从科技英语词义特征出发,结合翻译实例,提出一些词义选择的常用策略,以期对科技翻译人员的工作有所裨益。
Word choice is an important issue in translating EST into Chinese. This article discusses the features of word use in English for Science and Technology and by way of example, proposes some strategies often used in EST translation.
