The Impact of Chinese Canadian Immigrants on Sino-Canadian Relations

近年来,中加两国关系取得了长足发展,华人华侨是其中不可或缺的载体,但华人对中加关系的作用主客观上也存在很多不利的因素,因此如何全面认识华人与中加之间的互动关系,趋利避害,使得华人、中国与加拿大互利共生成为一个有意义的课题。本文先回顾了华人移民加拿大的历史,介绍了华人在促进中加关系发展中不可替代的重要性,并重点阐述了华人在发挥作用时面临的机遇和挑战,并就如何加强华人在中加关系作用上提出些建议。

In recent years, Sino-Canadian relations have witnessed rapid development, overseas Chinese is one of the indispensable carrier. However, there are many unfavorable factors for the effects of overseas Chinese on the Sino-Canadian relations from the subjective and objective point of view. Therefore, how to comprehensive understanding of interaction between Chinese and Canada, while avoiding disadvantages, making the Chinese, China and Canada reciprocity become a meaningful topic. First, this paper reviews the history of Chinese immigrants in Canada, introduced the Chinese in promoting the development of Sino-Canadian relations. And focuses on the opportunities and challenges faced by overseas Chinese, and on how to put forward some suggestions to strengthen the overseas Chinese in the Sino-Canadian relations role.
