A Discussion of Bai Juyi's Influence on Syasekisyu(沙石集)

白氏诗词不仅对日本古代文学有着深厚的影响,而且对日本中世佛教也产生了巨大的影响。《沙石集》是日本中世佛教民间故事集,其中对中国古典的引用情况,白居易远远高于孔子与老庄,位居首位。其影响具体表现在白居易对佛学以及禅学的理解与感悟;白居易的人生态度、人生智慧等对人生的理解与感悟;以及白居易在习佛、礼佛之间的种种过程及其理解与感悟等方面。

Bai Juyi ＇ s poetry not only has a profound impact on the ancient Japanese literature, but also has great influence on Japanese medieval buddhism. Syasekisyu is a collection of medieval Japan Buddhist folklores, in which Bai Juyi is the most cited of Chinese classics, much more frequently than Confucius or Lao Zhuang. The influence of Bai Juyi＇ s poetry lies in his understanding of Buddhism and Zen; his attitude towards and perception of life; and his experiences of learning Buddhism.
