The effects of climate change on marine biodiversity come from increasing water perature and absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere with consequential changes tem - in the chemistry of seawater, the strength and direction of ocean currents, and the intensity, frequency and geographic range of extreme weather events. The effects of climate change on marine biodiversity compound, this raises issues that require multisectoral integration of policy and management within jurisdictions, coordination with adjacent and linked jurisdictions and regional and international mechanisms to address areas beyond national jurisdictions. The global framework for the marine biodiversity protection is playing its macroscopic guidance role, and multinational cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the results of the Australian practice also provides an important reference for the actions of other countries and regions.
