Cross-dressing, Body and Desire——On George Sand's the Marquise From Feminist Perspective

易装是中西文学中的常用题材,包含选择、越界、转换等内涵,因此也被许多女性作家所运用。乔治·桑的《侯爵夫人》就是这样的一部小说,作家沿用旧的题材,却将自己的女性意识赋予其中,使传统题材表现出新的立意,发出了女性作家的声音。作家使人物通过易装,打破了社会的阶级、等级和性别秩序,形成了新的身份。身份的转变和女性的主体意识密切相连,在身份转变之后,女性的主体意识表现通过身体的创造和性欲的拒绝得到了彰显。

Cross-dressing is the constant theme in literature, and contains the meaning of selecting, crossing the border and identity conversion. The theme is also used by female writers. In George Sand＇s The Marquise, the author put female consciousness in this traditional subject and expressed female＇s voices. Through cross-dressing, Sand broke the social order of class and gender, and formed new identity for his character. Also, the change of identity was closely related to female self-consciousness. Women＇s self-consciousness was manifested through physical creation and sex refusal.
