This paper discusses the possible relationship between Zhuangzi＇s thought and Kafka＇s masterpiece ＂The Meta- morphosis＂ ;Analyzes the understanding on freedom among Zhuangzi, Kafka and Grego; Compares their life status. The purpose of this paper is to understand the implied meaning of butterflies and beetles, encourage people to correct attitude to life, have a vision of a better future.
