Relationship between follicle stimulating hormone and its receptor and cancer

卵泡刺激素受体(follicle stimulating hormone receptor,FSHR)被认为只表达在人和哺乳动物的睾丸支持细胞和卵巢颗粒细胞中,在生殖中具有重要作用。最近研究发现,FSHR在多种肿瘤血管内皮细胞表面特异表达,这引起了研究者对该受体与肿瘤尤其是与肿瘤血管形成之间关系的关注。本文主要对FSH和FSHR信号通路及其病理意义和在肿瘤中的作用等方面的研究进展进行综述。

In adult humans and mammals, follicle stimulating hormone receptor （FSHR） is known to be ex- pressed only in the testicular Sertoli cells and the ovarian granulosa cells and plays a key role in reproduction. Recent researches have revealed that FSH receptor is selectively expressed on the surface of the blood vessels of a wide range of tumors. The unprecedented results arouse scientists＇ strong concerns on the relationship between FSHR and tumors especially the angiogenesis. In this paper, we will review the research progress of FSH and FSHR signaling pathway and its pathological significance, and its role in tumor growth.
