“貯”、“賈”源流考

The Research on the Origin and Development of zhu and gu

"貯"、"賈"释读是当今训诂的一大难点。通过对战国、秦汉玺印和封泥的综合研究,认为前人在甲骨、金文中所厘定的"貯"、"賈"二字,实即""字(音古,表储藏、交换)的两种不同写法,后者则是对原始社会的"家"之音义在商品、货币条件下的继承与发展。战国时期,商业发展终于把两种写法催生成了两个异体,以便分别承担储藏、交换之义,节约社会交往成本,而""、"貯"、"賈"遂得以各各定型。援此为例,围绕""之其他异体和音义讹夺,作者又对个别先秦文献的个别疑难之处作了重新训释。

it is difficult to explain the ancient words zhu and gu. With the comprehensive research on the seals and sealing clays in Warring States, Qin and Han Dynasties, we considered that the zhu and gu in Oracle and Bronze inscription were the two different writing styles of ＂＂, ancient sound, which meant storing and exchanging. ＂＂was the development of the pronunciation and meaning of the primitive jia on the conditions of merchandise and currency. In the Warring States Time, commercial development made these two different writing styles into two variants, which meant storing, exchanging and saving social costs respectively. Gradually,＂[貝古]＂, zhu and gu were fixed. By this example, this paper re-explained some difficult points on the other variants and errors in pronunciations and meanings on the other variants and errors in pronunciations and meanings,in the pre-Qin period literature
