The Existing problems like mistranslations and misapprehensions of the translation of public signs may transport wrong message and mislead foreigners .The problems of translations of Changzhou public signs in-clude non-standard and inconsistent translations , linguistic errors , and pragmatic failures .Strategies to solve these problems are：to strengthen the awareness of the importance of public signs , to make clear the translat-ability and untranslatability and to improve translators＇skills.
