Research of humanities and social science is important to science discipline construction in the university to disciplinary planning and development strategy of universities. According to Dalian University＇s humanities and social science research development, quantitative analysis and visualization of the humanities and social science research are made to show the importance of the humanities and Social Sciences in the discipline structure in comprehensive university, to clear the comprehensive study on the development of Humanities and Social Sciences, to recognize the development of Humanities and Social Sciences with their advantages and disadvantages in the interdisciplinary cooperation and academic exchanges with foreign countries, and to put forward concrete suggestions and measures concerned.
