摘要
生物数学是一门相对独立并且比较完整的学科,是应用数学的理论和方法来研究生命科学问题的科学,它的起源可以追溯到我国宋代。近年来,生物数学在我国已处于蓬勃发展的状态,所研究的内容已形成一个庞大的体系,包含生态学、统计学、控制论等14个分支;一般研究方法是通过建立数学模型来描述和分析各种生命现象的数量变化规律;研究对象已从宏观的有机物或群体转为微观的分子水平下的细胞群体。生物数学已经遍及社会生活的各个领域,如农林学、生命科学、医学、细胞和分子生物学等,新分支"生物信息学"应运而生,并成为当今生物数学非常热门的研究领域之一。生物数学将成为21世纪最令人兴奋、最有进展的科学领域之一。
Mathematical biology is an independent and whole subject,which applies theories and methods of mathematics to study problems of life science. Mathematical biology can originate from Song Dynasty. In recent years,mathematical biology has been flourishing in China. The studied 14 branches have formed a large system,including ecology,statistics,cybernetics and so on; The general research method is constructing mathematics model to describe and analyze laws of quantitative variation of all kinds of life phenomena; The research objects have translated from macroscopic organics or groups into microcosmic cell colony under molecular level. Mathematical biology has been in almost every field of social life,such as agriculture and forestry science,life science,medicine,cell and molecular biology and so on. And the new branch"bioinformatics"is one of the most popular research fields of mathematical biology nowadays. Mathematical biology will be one of the most exciting and progress science fields in the 21 st century.
