On the Transmutation of Translators' Quality Requirements from the Perspective of China's Three Major Climaxes of Translation

翻译的根本任务是求得译文和原文的对等,这就要求译者将原文"忠实"地译成目的语。因此,在翻译作品中,作为翻译活动主体的译者是影响和决定翻译的最大因素,而其素养也就成了决定译文优劣的关键之一。本文以中国三大翻译高潮为线索,梳理了不同时期不同翻译标准下对译者素养要求的变化。

The fundamental task of translation is to achieve the equivalence between the translation and the original, which requires the translator to translate the original ＂faithfully＂ to the target language. Therefore, in translation works, the translator, as the subject of translation, is the biggest factor influencing and determining the translation, so the translator＇s quality has become one of the keys determining the quality of the translation. With China＇s three major climaxes of translation as the clue, this paper summarizes the transmutation of translators＇ quality requirements under different translation criteria in different periods.
