摘要
叔本华认为,痛苦是意欲的阻抑,具有精神属性。痛苦是本原性的,而幸福则是派生性的。解脱痛苦的途径是纯粹认识及其带来的清心寡欲。叔本华痛苦观的积极意义在于,人为了解脱痛苦必然追求满足,为了获得满足必然追求改造自然、改造社会,这是推动人类社会前进的基本动力。痛苦预示着人类社会必将向文化高度的方向发展,向物质财富充分涌流的方向发展,向制度文明及精神道德无限提高的境界发展,这是痛苦的文化与社会意义之所在。
Schopenhauer thinks that suffering is hindrance of will and spiritual. Suffering is principle, but happiness is derivative. The path to salvation from suffering is pure knowledge and resignation. The positive significance of Schopenhauer~ view of suffering lies in that, man necessarily pursuits of satisfaction in order to be free from suffer- ing, and necessarily pursuits of remaking nature, reforming society to acquire contentment, which is the fundamental motive force of social advancement. It is the cultural and social significance of the suffering that suffering indicates social inevitable development to highly developed culture, to fully welled material wealth, to infinitely improved realm of the institutional civilization and spirit and morality.
