词汇一直被公认为是二语学习中最重要也是最基础的部分。只有通过词汇,才能实现语言的沟通和交流。因此,对于教师来说,了解学生英语词汇的现状有助于他们掌握学生现有英语水平,发现问题,及时调整教学方法及策略,从而促进学生英语整体水平的提高以及自身教学水平的提高。在此。通过实证研究的方法,了解高职院校非英语专业学生英语词汇的现状,深入分析其原因。

Vocabulary is widely considered as the most important and fundamental part in second language learning. Without words, human beings cannot exchange ideas with each other. Therefore, understanding students＇ current vocabulary would be of more help for teachers to grasp their students＇ present English level, find problems and adjust teaching methods in time.Teachers can thereby enhance the students＇ English level and boost their own teaching level. Empirical research has been used in this study to understand the current vocabulary of non-English major students in vocational colleges and deeply analyze the reasons.
