林语堂《浮生六记》英译研究述评

A Review on the Study of Lin Yutang's Translation of Six Chapters of A Floating Life

20世纪90年代以来,越来越多的人注意到林语堂的翻译家身份。林语堂在向西方读者传播中国思想和文化的过程中,译介了不少中国古代作品,其中最负盛名译作非《浮生六记》莫属。新世纪之后,对此译本的研究越来越多,不仅研究范围广泛,而且研究视角也呈多元化趋势,在量与质上都有巨大突破。但该研究领域也存在重复、深度不够、研究手段不科学等问题。

The study on Lin Yutang has had a great achievement recently,especially since 1990 s,more and more people started to notice his status as a translator. In the process of spreading Chinese culture and thoughts to Westerners,Lin Yutang translated many ancient Chinese works,of which the most famous one is the translation of Six Chapters of A Floating Life. Since 21 st century,studies on the English version are growing with a wider scope and multi-perspective,so there is a great breakthrough both on quantity and quality. The article looked back at the past research on Lin Yutang’s translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life,pointed out the achievements that had been got and also pointed out some problems existed in this research field,such as repeated study,insufficient depth and unscientific research methods,hoping the study would be helpful for later studies.
