英文商务信函中的模糊语及人际功能分析

Analysis of Fuzzy Language and Its Interpersonal Functions in English Business Correspondence

模糊语言,作为一种弹性语言,是指外延不确定、内涵无定指的特性语言。目前,国内外专家学者对语言模糊现象的研究主要集中在对模糊语义的研究上,鲜有涉及对模糊语语用功能的研究。故此,本文以真实的英文商务信函为语料、以韩礼德的系统功能语言学为理论框架,研究人们在英文商务信函写作中如何顺应不同的语境因素,运用模糊语言的语用功能以实现特定的交际目的。

Fuzzy language, as a kind of flexible language, refers to the language with uncertain denotation and connotation. At present,most researches on fuzzy language both at home and abroad mainly focus on the semantic aspect while less of them involve the pragmatic aspect. Therefore, based on Halliday＇s theory of systemic functional linguistics, this thesis uses the real English business correspondence to explore how people adapt to various contexts in the writing of English business correspondence by adopting fuzzy language and how people take advantage of their pragmatic functions to achieve specific communicative functions.
