中美高校图书馆信息共享空间的比较研究

A Comparative Study on Information Commons in Academic Libraries between China and America

文章以信息共享空间(Information Commons)为研究对象,阐述了信息共享空间的内涵、特点及发展历程。从中美两国各自选取5个具有代表性的高校图书馆信息共享空间作为分析案例,从空间设计、资源配置、服务内容、服务方式、管理机制方面进行比较研究,为我国高校图书馆的信息共享空间建设与服务提出部分借鉴。

This paper elaborates the concept, features, elements as well as the development process of Information Commons and expounds the importance of Information Commons in academic libraries. The author picks samples from both Chinese and American academic libraries＇Information Commons（ five samples from each country）. By comparing the area of space design, resource allocation, service contents and management mechanism, this paper seeks for experiences and references for the development of Information Commons in Chinese academic libraries. 24 refs.
