美国高等教育专业与组织发展协会是一个兼具学术性和专业性的教师及教育发展协会,为其成员提供广阔的交流平台。该协会的成员构成是多元化的,它为其成员提供多种专业和兴趣活动,帮助成员实现个人和专业目标。为了扩大协会的影响力,该协会设立了专门的网络互动平台和相关出版物。该协会的一个很重要的特色还在于它为其成员和非成员提供了多种类型的奖助学金,更好地保障了协会及其参与者的发展。通过对该协会进行梳理和分析,笔者认为其可以为我国大学教师发展提供以下启示:(1)建立一个全国性的教师发展网络协会;(2)协会成员多元化,为成员提供多种服务;(3)设立多项奖助学金,保障协会及其成员获得发展。

American higher educational profession and organizational development association is an academic and professional association for the development of teachers and education, which provides a broad communicating platform for its members. The association is composed of a variety of members,which offers its members various professions and interesting activities,and helps its members to achieve personal and professional goals. In order to expend its influence,the association sets up special network interactive platform and corresponding publications. One of a vital characteristic of this association is that it offers various kinds of grants for its members and non- members, thus guaranteeing the development of it and its participants.Through the carding and analyzing of this association,the author thinks that it can provide the following implications for the faculty development in China： firstly,establish a national faculty development network association; secondly,diversify its members and provide various services for its members; thirdly,set up a various kinds of grants,assure the development of the association and its members.
