A Philological Explanation of the Fifteen Popular Forms of Characters in Shicang Qiyue

文章考校《石仓契约》中十余个疑难俗字。即"■""■""■/樁""■""■""■""■""■""■""■""■""■"当分别为"背""埕""椿""棟""發""荒""窟""瓦""窑""選""種""衆"的讹俗字,而非"貨""罐""樁""揀""叢""疏""掘""■""瑤""達""耕""裏";"柚""埬"分别为"抽""棟"的换旁俗字,而非"柚""堜";"■"为"拙"的讹字,又"拙"通"掘";"■"为"領"的讹俗字,又"領"通"嶺",而非"镇"字;"■"当为"魁"的讹俗字。

The paper philologically explains more than ten popular forms of characters in Shicang Qiyue. Firstly,“背”“埕”“椿/椿”“楝”“發”“荒”“窟”“瓦”“块”“窑”“選”“種”“眾”should respectively be the popular form of“背”“埕”“椿”“楝”“發”“荒”“窟”“瓦”“窑”“選”“種”“眾”＇ instead of“貨”“罐”“椿”“揀”“發”“疏”“掘”“土丸”“瑶”“達”“耕”“裹”.Secondly,“柚”“堜” should respectively be thepopular form of “抽” “楝” instead of “柚”“堜” . Thirdly,“拙” should be the popular form of “拙” while “拙” is the borrowed word of “拙”. Fourthly, “領” should be the popular form of “領” instead of “镇” and “領” is the borrowedword of “嶺”. Lastly, “魁” should be the popular form of “魁” .
