The First Person Narration in Lin Haiyin's Works

在林海音的作品中,第一人称叙事占有相当大的比重,其重要作品基本都是由第一人称叙事构成。在众多的第一人称叙事作品中,林海音能够积极尝试、大胆创新,无论是"我"与作者的关系,还是"我"在故事中的角色、身份,都在不断变化、力求突破。同时,再交织以倒叙、插叙、日记体、书信体等多种样式,活泼多变、新颖别致,大大增强了林海音作品的表达和艺术审美效果。

A considerable proportion of Lin Haiyin’s works were written in the first-person. Her most important works were almost first-person narratives. In her numerous first-person narrative works, Lin at-tempted actively and boldly to innovate her writing. Thus, in her works, the relationship between “I” and the author, and the role and position of “I” in the story are constantly changing to strive for new break-throughs. Meanwhile, the mixed style of narration interspersed with flashbacks, epistolary style and diaries, which is lively and diverse, greatly enhanced the expression and aesthetic effects of Lin’s works .
