Napoleon＇ s marriage was a complex historical phenomenon. He had two regular marriages and three significant extramarital affairs, during which two women bore children for him. Napoleon＇ s thought of marriage had three kinds of characteristics： Cherishing affections in the early period; putting equal importance to affections and practicalities in the middle period; focusing on politics in the late period. Napoleon＇ s thought of marriage was mainly affected by political thought and had strong authoritarian feelings.
