Kate Chopin is regarded as one of the pioneers of the feminist literature in the United States. Her works mainly express her earing for women. However, she was not a pure feminist writer when she started to write. There is a process of her converting into feminism literature. This article tries to illustrate how feminism was gradually discovered in Kate Chopin herself from her famous short story The Story of an Hour and her masterpieee The Awakening
