COSCO Group got the bid of Airbus Tianjin A320 Final Assembly Line logistics service in Aug, 2007 and became the general logistics service provider. As the main contractor of logistics for Airbus A320 Series Project FAL China, COSCO Logistics is responsible for multinational comprehensive logistics service of 284 aircrafts for Airbus Final Assembling Line in Tianjin from 2008 to the first half of 2016. The service includes barge transportation, inland transportation in Tianjin and Europe, container transportation and air transportation and so on. In the meantime, the service also contains the assembling, disassembling and maintenance of tools and jigs, and other value-added services. Up to Sept. 9, 2014, COSCO Logistics has accomplished the transportation task of 201 aircrafts. Tianjin Airbus 320, as an important international cooperation project, strengthening the strategic partnership between Europe and China, has drawn wide attention in terms of technical content, investment scale, market impact and potential development and will go down to history of China industrial development. COSCO Logistics has strongly supported the production of Airbus Tianjin through its high quality's service, and its services have been received high recognition from the government of Tianjin Free Trade zone and Airbus Company. Meanwhile, this project reflects the idea of integration development of each field of COSCO groups, such as Logistics, shipping, and overseas companies.
