中国舞蹈批评的开展,需要高度文化自觉的指导。文化自觉这一概念,是费孝通先生面对文化"全球化"的情势提出的,也应当是舞蹈批评的指导思想。文化自觉精神,要求中国舞蹈批评要研究它广泛的文化意义,不只是简单的审美和娱乐,要彰显舞蹈仪式中的社会与道德内涵,要在中国崛起中认识低俗娱乐文化的破坏作用而更强调高层舞蹈文化的引领作用。

The development of China＇s dance critics needs the guide of highly cultural consciousness. Cultural consciousness,put forward by Mr. FEI Xiao-tong when facing with the cultural globalization,should be the guiding theory of dance critics. The spirit of cultural consciousness requires the study of its extensively cultural significance. Therefore,China＇s dance critics should demonstrate the social and moral connotation of dance rites,and emphasize the leading function of dance culture when realizing the destructive effects of vulgar culture.
