湘南土话知三、章读如端组的性质

The Nature of Ancient Initial Groups of The Level 3 of Zhi Group and Zhang Group Pronounced as Duan Group in Tuhua Dialcets of Southern Hunan

湘南土话普遍存在知三、章读如端组的现象。读如端组时,韵母有的为洪音,有的为细音。考察知三、章读如端组时韵母的洪细及其与其他声纽的分合关系,发现,韵母为细音时,知三读如端组一般是"古无舌上音"的表现,而韵母为洪音时,读如端组的性质多种多样;章组读为端组则是与精、庄、知二或知三、见合流后的演变,属于晚期的演变。

Tuhua dialcets of southern Hunan exist the phenomenon of the level 3 of Zhi(知) group and Zhang(章) group pronounced as Duan(端) group generally. When the level 3 of Zhi(知) group pronounced as Duan(端) group, some of the final are broad sound,some of them are fine sound. The article points out that the level 3 of Zhi (知) group pronounced as Duan(端) group is a performance of lack of alveolar sounds in ancient Chinese when the final is fine sound. Zhang(章) group pronounced as Duan(端) group is ad-vanced evolution after that.
